If you have been having driving lessons you will know all about blind spots and how and when to check them. But it is also important to consider other vehicle’s blind spots and when you could be in them!
This is especially relevant on motorways and dual carriageways where you could find yourself sat in someone else’s blind spot whilst travelling at high speeds. If they don’t check before moving out they won’t know you’re there.
Some larger vehicles such as trucks have a sign on them saying ‘If you can’t see me, then I can’t see you’. Be mindful of that and try to move through their blind spot when overtaking rather than staying in to for any length of time.
Jennifer’s Driving School driving instructors will talk you through blind spots on your car and other people’s cars during your Bournemouth driving lessons.
You can also buy blind spot mirrors for your own car which will help you when driving.
